The Incredible Heidi Wasabi by Helgaleena
*Blinks* What Did I Just Read?
Big, huge thanks to Helgaleena for sending me copy to read and review – I have been waiting a while to read this, after reading the blurb *claps hands together* Okay on with the review!
Shakti or succubus? Faithful spouse or figment of the imagination? Whatever she is, Rufus and Steen would not have made a grand success in their chosen profession, as the stars of the heavy metal band Virgen Steel, without Heidi. And they probably never would have gotten married – to each other, anyway. This is her incredible story.
Weirdest, most bizarre story I have ever read in my entire life!!!! I’m not sure where to start with this book – I think my brain is still trying to understand it or take it all in or something? This book … story … weird journey of WTF … has me in a kind of awe – for good or bad … I think I’ll let you decide! I imagined so many different things when I read the blurb but what I got, was totally out there and not what I or anyone else for that matter, expected!
I suppose I should tell you about what I read … I’ll try my best. The book is basically read as a blog, written by an inflatable, female, sex toy? Yep … that is what I said. She’s the inflatable toy for Rufus, a guitarist and singer in a Metal Band called Virgen Steel. Rufus would dream about Heidi (the inflatable toy) and make her real in them and some how, eventually, she becomes real – if by real you mean a sparkly, ghost like entity, that could possess her original inflatable body!
As you read, she gets more of a handle of being real and how to best use her ability to have sex or give blow jobs to Rufus and … at a later date … Steen, who is the bassist in the band. He eventually is able to see her as well – if you call it seeing her? And better yet, the three of them get married … kinda!? If I turned to a doctor and told them that … I’d be committed. They are rock stars … diagnosis … they’re a little eccentric … WTF?
Now, I have already mentioned it before but I have a pet hate … yep the book did use the evil word and that word is … c**t and not just ONCE either. MY GOD … what are you people thinking?? There are so many words in the English language … why choose that one?? Okay, they are in a Metal Band … cliché much? Not everyone who plays or enjoys metal or rock music say THAT word all the damn time – find other words to use … we have the technology … it’s called a DICTIONARY!
The book is totally messed up and if it wasn’t for the fact that I’ve never read anything like it before in my life, I don’t think I would have even considered giving it a 2.5 rating but as it was a change … a bizarre and messed up change, I thought it was worthy of this rating.
